The Hide Tower TMO & on-site office is at risk of closing
As you know, Hide Tower is a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO), run by a Resident Management Board (RMB). The role of the RMB is to manage all aspects of running the block for its residents that are not managed by Westminster City Council.
Since its inception in 2000, the RMB have always had our residents at the heart of all we do;
and as a TMO, we have been able to make savings, which we have then reinvested into the block, such as revamping the ground floor lobby, at no extra cost to the residents.
We now find ourselves in a position where all this could be lost!
Due to several of our members moving out or facing personal issues, we need new members to join the RMB in order to keep it going so that we can continue to run the block on your behalf.
The more people we can get involved, the less volunteer time will be needed - although we are contractually obliged to hold 6 meetings per year - but it will help to sustain and preserve our TMO! You will also be able to learn new skills for which we will provide training opportunities.
As directors we don't want the management to go back to Westminster City Council,
but we can't continue without your support.
Here's what the RMB currently manages:
The ground floor office, including our estate manager, Coral, and our cleaner, Carlos - cleaning - repairs - parking permits - garden, main entrance, barrier, and parking fobs and keys - new tenant sign-ups - investigating and actioning anti-social behaviour - liaising with Westminster City Council and its preferred contractors - social events such as garden parties and open evenings.
The RMB does NOT manage:
Major works, such as the doors/ vents/ stack pipes - leaseholder service charges - rent and arrears.

Membership is open to both tenants and leaseholders, however,
we need more tenants to join us at this time.
